MUTA member's opinions concerning November ballot measures were solicited on a survey sent to the membership in August. The consensus of the member's opinions and MUTA's positions are as follows.

NO on Prop. 19, on legalizing marijuana
YES on Prop. 20, for redistricting by a nonpartisan Commission
NO on Prop. 21, adding annual $18 automobile registration fee
YES on Prop. 22, to stop the state from taking transportation and local funds
YES on Prop. 23, to suspend AB 32 (global warming) until less than 5.5% unemployment
NO on Prop. 24, to repeal business tax breaks
NO on Prop. 25, to allow budget vote by simple majority
YES on Prop. 26, to require 2/3 vote on state levies
NO on Prop. 27, to allow redistricting by the Legislature
NO on Measure B, the additional vehicle tax
NO on Measure H, San Anselmo Paramedic tax
NO on Measure I, San Rafael Paramedic tax
NO on Measure S, MMWD-sponsored desal initiative
YES on Measure T, citizen-sponsored desal initiative
NO POSITION on all other local measures.
